Evil cannot abide the presence of a heart that loves God.

We are seeing that play out here in America every day, and one of my favorite guests, Rabbi Yaakov Menken, shares with us a stark warning: the more overt a people are about obeying God, the more evil the resistance will be.

Are you ready to stand by God even when times get tough? Then this episode is for YOU!

hi everyone. Elaine Beck here, and we are so happy to be here. You know the name of my show is, it’s not about us. And so I’m always pleased when I have someone with me that can talk to me about that, and that is my favorite rabbi, Rabbi Menken.

Rabbi Yaakov Menken 0:31
Well, thank you so much for having me.

Elaine Beck 0:33
it’s always a joy. And you know, it’s especially special to me this year because I just interviewed about an hour or so ago, a wonderful man who lost 40 friends and family on November 7. He came from Kibbutz that is was totally destroyed, all their homes, everything they ever had gone, either by fire or stolen, and his son is one of the men that is hostage, and he’s got his son’s wife and two grandchildren are living in another little town there another kibbutz. And it’s it was so sad and so heart wrenching, but I had him tell his story for one reason, because the people in this country need to understand that we will never go away from being a Judeo Christian country and the horror of what I see in my own country now, the reaction by some people not to appreciate, I hope that his testimony will help open their eyes.

Rabbi Yaakov Menken 1:56
It’s unbelievable what’s going on in America, because this is really a very obvious contest between good and evil. Absolutely, no question, you have a genocidal terror organization. Absolutely. Their goal is to eradicate every Jew, and they’ll go do it again. Anybody who is defending them saying it was appropriate blaming Israel, whether through naivete, ignorance or outright hate, they are furthering and keeping alive Hitler’s dream. Yes, there is no question that what Hamas wants to do to the Jews is precisely what Hitler wanted to do to the Jews. So all the people overusing terms like Nazi and, you know, using them against all sorts of political figures, these people are straight out aligned with the Nazis and keeping Hitler’s dream alive the final solution, and the idea that students on campus should blame Israel or call for A ceasefire, let’s not eradicate the Hamas terror organization, right? Really, every Hamas member is a danger to the lives of every Jew in Israel and beyond.

Elaine Beck 3:09
You know, this is the one time. So this is the one time that I would tell people, go ahead watch the news. You know, start with like Newsmax or Fox. I know those aren’t your favorite stations, but if you go to them, you will see all of the underground tunnels on the Gaza Strip. And why are they there? It’s definitely not the Jewish people down there. It’s definitely not the Palestinians. It is the Hamas and the Hezbollah that are doing the favors for Iran, am I right,

Rabbi Yaakov Menken 3:49
of course.

Elaine Beck 3:51
And so all of those, I mean, there’s miles and miles, and some of I mean, they are properly fitted for everything. There’s wiring and heating and cooling and everything down there, because they’re living down there. It’s sort of like it reminds me of an ant infestation.

Rabbi Yaakov Menken 4:11
They are the best example of a military force using civilians to protect themselves. Absolutely civilized army, right? The Army of the United States is there to defend the interests of the citizens of the United States and to defend the citizens most of all, right, whereas this terror organization has it precisely backwards, right? They use the civilians to protect themselves, right? They don’t let the civilians down in those tunnels, those tunnels are for their own protection. And of course, when Israel bombs one of those tunnels, since those tunnels are filled with explosives and built beneath buildings, right, what you then get is the allies of the Hamas terror organization saying, Look what Israel did. Israel. Brought down that building. Israel did not bring down that building. Israel bombed the tunnel which blew up the explosives which the terrorists had placed beneath the building, and thus the terrorist explosives brought the building down

Elaine Beck 5:14
right well, you know, I think they need to stop and think about the fact that how many times have we seen in history where, even on the news, you’ll see where somebody’s got themselves holed up in a building or something, and they’ll hold hostages, right? And then, why do they hold hostages? Because they want to see the hostages killed, no, because they know that we’re not going to want to kill the hostages, the innocent people. Think about this people, we’re not going to want to do that. So that protects them. They use them as a barrier. This is exactly what Hezbollah and Hamas do with the Palestinians,

Rabbi Yaakov Menken 5:58
of course, and therefore they’re doing with the Israelis that they’re now holding like the son of the person you spoke about, that was Jonathan deckle chain, right? Because from, yeah, that’s, you know, his son is being used as a human shield, exactly. And, and, by the way, what they’re doing to the women hostages is considerably worse. Oh, well, so it’s just, you know, let’s understand so sad. Then no matter how you look at it, you have to look at the culture war, right, that is going on in America and understand, you know, why is it that these leftist activists are finding common cause with radical Muslims who would slaughter anybody identifying themselves as LGBTQ, right, given the opportunity, right? And the answer is, it’s a classic aphorism, first the Saturday people, then the Sunday people. Around the world, the worst persecution of Christians is going on in countries where they’ve already gotten rid of all their Jews.

Elaine Beck 7:05
You know, that was the other thing that I you brought up with me yesterday, that or this morning, that really, really just hit me like a lightning bolt, was that people in this country that our Americans need to understand, that they’re not going to stop if they could actually and they can’t kill all the Jews, because you God’s not going to let it. I know that. But even if they tried and they could, or even if they get a bunch of them like they’re doing, they’re not going to stop with the Jewish people. They hate the Christians, of course, because the Christians, too, want to do good.

Rabbi Yaakov Menken 7:52
Anyone who wants to do good started leads to values they want to get rid of. Why are they going after the Jews? First, we have a 3300 year track record of resisting government efforts to cancel us right, to tell us our values need to change that we need to do this out of the other thing. And actually, if you look at what’s going on in America, this is the tragedy of what’s going on around us, is that in so many different cases, the Jews stood fast and the society around them decayed, fell apart, and their entire culture was replaced. The Greeks of today have nothing in common with the Greeks of the Greek mythology days, the Romans nothing the Norse, the Vikings, the Chinese, all of those cultures have faded away, and the Jews are still here doing exactly what the Jews did, and cleaving to that same tradition of values we’re watching that happen in America, because America was Built on values, right? Built on looking into the Bible right for the lessons it gives. And now today, you have people saying, Oh no, we’re going to do better than the Bible and run the show. And they are taking America away from its foundations, making it decay, making it collapse. Why are they targeting the Jews so much? Because they recognize the unique threat we represent at a time in New York state when anti semitism is on the rise, and their public school system, even before covid, was in a state of collapse, much less now, right? What is the New York State Education Department and the New York Times? Do they collude at the back end to do a series of hostile articles and hostile decisions to smear the most successful education system in New York. Right there’s actually billboards in New York run by orthodox defenders of the school system saying it’s called know us.org K. N, O, W, U, s.org, they have these billboards on the Gowanus Expressway and Lincoln Donald’s like our children are not going to learn in the schools to hate America. Yes, that’s it. We love America. Absolutely love the preservation of America and its values, right? So why is the New York State going after those particular successful school? The answer is they are the most unwoke demographic that New York and America has, right? Exactly, really, the Jewish community, the traditional, observant Jewish community, is the most pro values Pro on the board, traditional community and therefore unwoke Right, that America has Right, right, and that’s why they regard us as a unique danger and a unique threat.

Elaine Beck 10:48
You’ve got that right, that that really, that really just stands to reason.

Rabbi Yaakov Menken 10:52
We are just the head of the sphere to fight back at this woke Cultural Revolution. You know, the Jewish community should be in alliance with Christian partners who support value, because you enable us to do what we do. Right? I haven’t even told people yet our URL. I mean, our coalition for Jewish values is our organization, right? CJ values.org, right? And CJ values on your favorite social media, right? And you know, every Christian who is cleaving to traditional beliefs is going to say on every one of the articles he reads, Wow, these guys are standing up for life. Pro life. These guys are pro family. We’re actually, according to Concerned Women for America. We are the only national Jewish organization vocally objecting to the male takeover of women’s sports, oh,

Elaine Beck 11:52
and and everything else,

Rabbi Yaakov Menken 11:54
exactly, just the whole revamping of what a they what a man is and what a woman is. And by the way, last time I opened the Bible, it says male and female, He created them. That’s right. It’s like, you can’t. It doesn’t say in all other and all the 22 different options on right, on the dating websites, whatever, it

Elaine Beck 12:14
doesn’t say whatever. Yeah, no, it’s specific. There’s a man who was here yesterday, and I saw him running around again, this time today. The only one that I know of that comes in here, he is dressed like a woman. And I heard someone say to him yesterday, what are you doing here? You don’t belong here. You really need to leave. Wow. Okay, and that’s true. I mean, you know, this is not a group of people that are going to support that.

Rabbi Yaakov Menken 12:49
Well, that’s true. I’m amazed at the number of people who are woke on multiple issues and still get it on one or two others. So the fact that you have an LGBTQ person who is at the same time, I mean, obviously there’s a whole Log Cabin Republicans who are gay and yet supportive of traditional values. In other ways to me, it’s stunning, right? Not consistent, but I look at people like Senator John Fetterman and even more so, Representative Richie Torres, who is gay himself. And yet, what about Fetterman? Both of them, although being regarded as progressive on so many issues when it comes to Israel, all of a sudden, they’ve recognized the moral position and the immoral position, and they have it, you know, dead set. John Fetterman says, I’m he said, if that’s what it takes to be a progressive, I’m not a progressive. Richie Torres says, I think true progressivism is supporting Israel. And, you know, that’s true. And actually there’s a sadness to that, because Israel is actually the refuge. Well, it’s good that Israel’s a refuge of everything. Israel is actually a refuge for gay Iranians and for gay Arabs from other countries, because they’ll be killed in their home countries. The only place they find people who won’t kill them is in Haifa. Now that’s Israel’s tolerance for you. At the same time, Israel’s going overboard with the you know, I don’t know if you remember when the President of Israel came to speak in front of Congress. I was watching, and when he got to the line about Israel’s tolerance, as the the Arab Mullah was calling out for prayer, and the siren was going off for Jewish prayers, and there was an LGBTQ parade going on in Tel Aviv, and that’s where all the Democrats stood up, and the conservative Republicans did not stand up the one dime. He only got the Democrats to give him a standing ovation. In Congress because a pro values congressman is not going to stand up to celebrate LGBTQ and all of those people, by the way, are close allies of the Jewish community, yeah, and they are, they are, you know, I didn’t stand up either. I only found out later exactly what happened, because unfortunately, the people in the row in front of me, they did stand up. Ah,

Elaine Beck 15:22
you know. Well, all I know is that, you know, I tell everybody I vote the Bible, I do my best to live the Bible. And I know that, again, we’re going to have to close because we’ve run out of time, but I know that, you know, I take it very seriously.

Rabbi Yaakov Menken 15:45
I’m going to give you one line. When the Messiah appears on the ballot, I will vote for him. Until then, I care less about a person’s particular foibles and failings than the policies he or she represents, and what direction is that going to lead the country, right? And that’s what drives my vote, and I think it should drive and I can tell you, you know, that the Orthodox Jewish community actually produced the most biased pro Trump demographic was 95% to 5% the traditional Orthodox, right? Trump over Biden, and it’s a 2024, it’s not going to change.

Elaine Beck 16:27
It’s not going to change. That’s right. Praise the Lord. Well. Been a pleasure, as always. I This is one of the things I look to forward to when I come each year. Oh, that’s so

Rabbi Yaakov Menken 16:39
wonderful to hear. Thank you so much. I know I’m a great guest, but really,

Elaine Beck 16:45
hey, you know you can get all the big names you want. You can get all of the people that everybody sees everywhere, but I like talking to the people that are about God and this country in a way that it just honors God. And that’s all that’s to me. That’s my hero.

Rabbi Yaakov Menken 17:03
That’s wonderful. Well, I’m glad to be here. Yes. Well,

Elaine Beck 17:07
